Fat-Dissolving Injections and the Liquid Lipo Wrap: What's the Difference, and Can You Have Both?

We offer two very different body treatments that often get mentioned in the same breath: fat-dissolving injections, and our Liquid Lipo Wrap with Sauna Blanket. One is an injectable aesthetic treatment. The other is a warming, relaxing body pamper.
Here is what each one involves, how they differ, and the question we hear most: can you have both?
What Are Fat-Dissolving Injections?
Fat-dissolving injections are an injectable treatment for small, localised pockets of fat. A solution is injected into the area being treated, where it is designed to break down fat cells.
They are a contouring treatment, not a weight-loss treatment. They are not intended to change the number on the scales, and they sit best alongside a balanced diet and regular movement.
Areas that may be suitable include:
Chin and jawline
Abdomen
Flanks
Arms
Thighs
Other small areas of localised fat
What to expect
A consultation first. Suitability depends on you, the area being treated and the product used, so a consultation is essential.
Some settling time. Redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising are common afterwards. These usually ease over a few days, although swelling can occasionally last up to two weeks.
Gradual change. Results develop over a number of weeks, and more than one session may be recommended.
Clear aftercare. We will talk you through what to do and what to avoid, including heat such as saunas, hot baths and sunbeds while the area settles.
Treatment is subject to consultation and suitability. Results vary between individuals.
What Is the Liquid Lipo Wrap and Sauna Blanket Treatment?
This one is about warmth, relaxation and skin that looks and feels cared for. There are no needles involved.
The Liquid Lipo wrap is applied to the skin of the treatment area and combined with compression. This creates a warming body treatment designed to support the appearance of smoother, firmer-looking skin. You then relax in a sauna blanket.

Think of it as a body reset in one appointment. It is a cosmetic, feel-good treatment rather than a fat-reduction or weight-loss treatment.
Heat treatments are not suitable for everyone, so we will ask a few health questions before you book. Please tell us if you are pregnant or have a heart or blood pressure condition.
Can You Have Both Treatments?
Yes, many clients can have both as part of a plan. They just should not be booked on the same day, and the wrap should never go over freshly injected skin.
Why timing matters
After fat-dissolving injections, the treated area needs time to settle. Standard aftercare is to avoid heat, including saunas, until redness and swelling have gone down. Creams and oils are also kept away from the injection sites at first.
A warming wrap, compression and a sauna blanket are exactly the things we ask you to avoid at that stage. So the two treatments need some space between them.
How to space them
Wrap first, injections later. Enjoy your wrap and sauna blanket on a separate day before your injection appointment.
Injections first, wrap later. Wait until any swelling, redness and tenderness have fully settled. This is often one to two weeks, and your practitioner will confirm when you are ready.
Not on the same day. This applies even if different areas are being treated, because the sauna blanket warms the whole body.
During a course of injections. A wrap can sometimes be booked between sessions, once your practitioner is happy the area has settled.
What the combination does, and does not, do
The two treatments do different jobs. Fat-dissolving injections target a small, localised pocket of fat. The wrap is about how your skin looks and feels, and about taking some time for yourself.
Having the wrap will not make the injections work faster or better. Some clients simply like to pair a targeted treatment with something that feels good, and that is a perfectly sensible way to plan your appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are fat-dissolving injections a weight-loss treatment?
No. They are intended for small, localised areas of fat, not for general weight loss. If your goal is overall weight loss, we will talk honestly with you about better options.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the area, the product used and how you respond. Your practitioner will give you a realistic plan at your consultation.
Does the Liquid Lipo wrap dissolve fat?
The wrap is a topical cosmetic treatment. It is designed to support the appearance of smoother, firmer-looking skin, and we do not offer it as a fat-reduction treatment.
How soon after injections can I have the wrap and sauna blanket?
Once the treated area has fully settled. That is often one to two weeks, but it varies, so your practitioner will advise you at the time.
Is everyone suitable?
No, and that is why we always start with a conversation. Fat-dissolving injections are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain medical conditions. Heat treatments are not right for everyone either.
