Botox

When you see ‘Botox’ for £100 do you ask yourself why it’s so cheap? Or do you think some practitioners are charging too much?

Botox is actually the name of a product like ‘Nike’ trainers, Botulinum toxin is a prescription only medicine that can’t be administered the same day as a consultation unless prescribed by a doctor.

When a practitioner is purchasing a POM, there is the fee of the toxin, we are charged a prescriber fee and delivery fee as well as paying for overheads, insurance, waste disposal and consumables. Which costs a lot more than £100.

Please think about what you are putting in your face!

Is the practitioner insured? Are the premises clean? Do they dispose of needles correctly? Are they insured? Are they qualified? Black market ‘Botox’ can be purchased by anyone so next time you think you’re getting a cheap deal or your practitioner is charging too much there is a reason why.
